Hydrocortisone cream, calamine lotion, or an oral antihistamine like Benadryl will calm down the itch fast. For multiple bites or hives spreading wider, oral antihistamines work better than topical creams.
Watch for Scorpions in Villas
If you’re staying in a villa in Pedregal, Palmilla, or remote spots like Cabo Pulmo, shake out shoes and check beds. Scorpion stings in Baja are usually painful but rarely dangerous — but call your villa concierge or our pharmacy for guidance.
